Team5 was hired to design and develop the NHL’s Hockey Archive ™.
The challenge - organize and develop an archive with over 70 year’s worth of historical content in a way that spoke to hockey enthusiasts and sports professionals worldwide.
The solution - create a site that organized this important historical content in an intuitive manner, allowing users to browse, search, review highlights and request footage by time or type.
Bonus: The site allowed the NHL to organize, archive and offer a wealth of previously unavailable content to their fan base and media professionals alike, monetizing content and extending brand awareness of the NHL into a variety of media channels.
Net result: The organization of this important archival material allowed the NHL to safeguard and chronicle their history and extended the NHL brand awareness with digitized content offerings, resulting in a significant increase in business.
